If I Died what would be Important to Me?
Death is a subject of many mysteries, but so serious as its impact affects all to the core, no matter what their beliefs. So if I died what would be important to me if there was life after death?
We live life on Earth reporting to others, our superiors at our job, the wife, friends who are to be impressed, and some of course we don’t get along with, but need in this arena called life. Allegiances are bonded among the brotherhood of mankind. For some in power, the choice affects lives of billions, and for others, it could be just the bum on the corner. Many of the cloth preach the road to salvation, but it is not the words that counts that come forth from those on the pulpit, but there actions not seen by the flock. It is said that when one dies his or her’s life flashes by instantly in what is perceived as the mind. Images, feelings, laughter, pain, despair, and finally peace, so how do I sort it out?
What is important is the relationships, connections made and deeds done that affected others that one reflects on and treasures. If I only knew the simple things in life count. You were always taught simple was the way to go, not that you should not achieve in man's world, but pay attention to the basics of life, family, friends, good times, and meaningful experiences in God's world. When you die, there are no doctorates; money, power or influence, if you did not move the masses towards the common good when given a gift, there is accountability. Did you use it for change or follow the status quo of not rocking the boat or worse acquiring mankind's idols? You cannot lie to your soul. Dramatic changes forced upon others will almost always result in failure, but subtle will plant a seed that will slowly grow and multiply. Reflect on the bonds you have established with others, because it will be the only importance in your life. Upon death don’t say the words to the Almighty if I only knew, because now you do. Death allows the veil to be lifted as the dirty secrets of mankind are exposed, did you fall for the promises of man, which he cannot deliver or hold out for God? Remember Who is the source of all. If you don’t know, death is a graduation where all life experiences are judged, because for some they stagnate and for others move on in many directions. Don’t fail.
