Immigration
Immigration, a staple for this country, where the many, unwanted in their homeland has built a foundation of a mighty nation. So in the last 50 years, what has changed? Is the hidden fears of the American public now shutting the doors to the land of the free, and if so why?
As each new group of immigrants seeks opportunity, fleeing the economic abuses of their homeland these days as opposed of the driving forces of the past. Intolerances of religion, famine and a chance to better their lives, there is an underground effort to limit access of the current influx of people. Your great, great grandparents or their descendants came and some to most were exploited. Crime, violence and gangs resulted until most worked hard in spite of the minority who took advantage. Today the populations from the Caribbean, Central & South America and Mexico face the same challenges. All are wanted here to do what he general population will not accept. No health care, cash to avoid the books, long hours without overtime benefits, no sick time and most of all acceptance of a wage that is far better than home, but is this similar to slave wages in America? In essence, a better life is masked as nothing more than to be exploited as underpaid laborers for the upper middle class and rich. In the 200 hundred plus years here in this country some things quietly remain the same. Yet on the alternate side of life, is present day immigrant is the scapegoat for crime and welfare abuse. If paid a fair wage just like your ancestors had to fight for they would assimilate. Remember before you point the finger; remember your ancestors traveled the same path. You cannot have it both ways; being rich you hire illegals at sub par wages as if you are doing them a favor. It is better than what you get home you say, all the while if there is a rebuttal you turn them in. If they are not on the books it is illegal and you are promoting evasion of needed income tax for the school system, which the visitors send their children. A burden that now costs the American taxpayer billions so you can save money on the household help. At the sametime you as a leader, promotes closed borders to quelled concern and anger of middle class America for loss of jobs and erosion of their standard of living. There is a word for you and your hidden agenda; furthermore it is just of of many examples of how not to treat your fellow man inspired by God, “Hypocrite”.All Rights Reserved: © Copyright 2007
