Glancing Back
When glancing back at Earth’s history, many when confronted with an adverse situation say, they wouldn’t make that choice in life. I would never work that many years to acquire a small herd of goats, but lose the family due to no time spent with them. Although, some considered their life was now complete once they acquired a herd. I would sacrifice all to be esteemed as the village medicine man of all around me. In his day this was the ultimate respect. If I could only corner the market for horsewhips, I would sell my soul. Years to centuries later in most cases, few would put themselves in that position for what mankind thought of as a perceived status symbol in those time periods. Presently some are falling for the present perks of mankind a nice house, a beautiful wife, and money to elevate yourself above others? But, remember the perks of mankind come with a price. What may look good in the present could hold no merit in the future due to the price of compromise. Did you compromise your life, family or others? Maybe it is time to plan your future based on values you perceive as right rather than what others tell us that has worth or beauty. It is time to trust your gut, if not, insight is always available from God.
